Hi all,
My development team desprately need cross reference facility. But CNC is telling it takes 3 days to build cross reference facility.Does it take that much time?is there so much work involved in that?
Thanks to you all in advance

If you were to try building the whole thing at once, it does take a long time.

The usual suggestion is to run the individual versions that only build a part of the cross reference. For example, XJDE0005 builds the TBLE information.

Have him start with the version that has the information you need the most, and over time have him run one version after another until all 6 versions other than XJDE0001 have run.

Rebuilding the entire cross-reference at once can take quite a bit of
time, a lot of which is dependent on how much power your machine has.

One thing you can do is rebuild it in pieces. There is either some PO or
DS on the UBE where you can specify to rebuild by object type (APPL,
UBE...). Doing the rebuilds in chunks can help out.

I think I've seen some other posts in the past year that might have some
additional suggestions for improving the performance. Try doing some
searches for additional posts.

Also, you might want to focus your questions/searches on the CNC forum
rather than the developer forum. You might find more responses from that
group of people.

Yes, it does take a long, long time to run. However, after every full dev build, I usually just kick it off on a spare dev box and let it run... few days later its done... no real user time involved at all.
