From the menu is a Function Key which I would like to disable. When I try to bring P00MENU up in Function Key security I do not see the function keys to secure. I know I've done this before at a previous employer. What am I missing?

Hi Jean,
Type VO. Inquire on V00MENU. Press F16 and identify referred key used by a particular Fn key.
Go to G94 followed with Function Keys. Allow or Restrict for a particular user-ID or all users (*PUBLIC).
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!!

Jean,

I believe that you can accomplish your task by going to menu G92 and selecting option #8 (Vocabulary Overrides) -or- use the fast path command "VO". Once in the program P9220, press function key 16 (Function Key Translation) which calls P9601(Function Key Definition). From there, set the action code to "I" and the Video Screen to "V00MENU". This should display all of the enabled function keys. Once here, I think that you will remember what you need to do next.

Hope this helps.

Bring up V00MENU in function key security. You will have to have the
appropriate function key name for the security.

Jean,
In function key security you want to bring up the Video name, not the
program name. In action code security, you do the reverese - bring up
program name, not video name. You would have though JD Edwards would be
consistent in their design and made both work the same way, wouldn't you??
So try V00MENU.
