Re: One World Data Selections

Ciao Annalisa,

I don't know of a way to do that, but you could always take a screen shot
of the Data Selection (if you are using Windows98,NT or Win2K by holding
down "Ctrl" (or "ALT") Key and "Print Screen" Key at the same time. This
combination of keys takes a snapshot of your screen. Then go to
Start-Pograms-Accessories -> Paint. Click inside the white box and then hold
down "Ctrl" and "V" keys together. This will paste the screenshot into MS
Paint application, where you can save it.

Saluti! Ho lavorato con i tuoi soci di CapGemini qui ad un cliente che si
chiama "GardenBurger" a Portland, OR., USA. Bravi!

Re: One World Data Selections

Just 2.5 addition.

1.) If you use the ScreenShot method:
1.a) Use the ALT+PrintScreen key combination for Copy to ClipBoard. In this case only the active window will be Copied instead the whole screen.
1.b) Paste from the ClipBoard into a Word document instead of into a Paint file. Try it and compare the size of files (supposly approx. 40K vs. 4MB)

2.) Copying Sequencing / Selection into an Excel:
* Click into the field on the left-upper corner
* Scroll with the scrollbars to access the right-lower field
* Shift-Right-Click into the right-lower field (the entire range have to be selected - turned blue)
* Hit CTRL-C to copy to the ClipBoard
* On an Excel sheet hit CTRL-V to paste from the clipboard
The only problem will be that Ascending/Descending and No/Yes will be translated into 0/1 for Data Sequencing.

I tried it on one of our platforms/configurations and worked well. Hopefully it will work on your configuration too but it could depend on your:
* OpSys type and version
* OpSys SP level
* version of Office (Ecel/Word/etc.)
* version of your OneWorld software
* etc.
... all these informations that you have forgotten to share with us :))

Good luck,
Zoltán

Re: One World Data Selections

If you want to keep the documentation in OW itself try the following. The version must be checked out first. Open the data Selection screen. Click in the box to the left of the WHERE clause and hold down on the mouse button dragging it down to the last line. Do CTRL and C on the keyboard. Close data selection and go to Version Detail. Move cursor to Version Detail field and do CTRL and V on the keyboard. If you have data selection that has a list of values with more than about 4 you will have to type the rest in to see them.
example after CTRL V
Where BC Status Code W.O. (F4801) is equal to "40"
And BC Categories - Work Order 01 (F4801) is not equal to "A4,AA,AJ,MOD,..."
And BC User Reserved Code (F4801) is equal to "PP"
And BC Drawing Size (F4101) is not equal to "M"
And BC Sales Category Code 5 (F4101) is not equal to "N"
Or BC Branch (F4801) is equal to " STK"
And BC Status Code W.O. (F4801) is equal to "40"
And BC User Reserved Code (F4801) is equal to "PP"
And BC Drawing Size (F4101) is not equal to "M"
