Here are some FTP instructions.


General ftp instructions from AS/400 to PC



1.. Note: All lower case, from a DOS prompt;


c:\ ftp your AS400system name

ftp signon: xxxx <Your
AS400 sign on

ftp password: xxxxx <Your
AS400 password

ftp bin
< Binary transfer, no conversion

ftp cd qgpl <
Change current directory

ftp lcd c:\yourfolder <
Change local directory

ftp get savefile <transfer
file from AS/400 to PC

ftp quit <quit ftp session

c:\exit





This will complete the transfer from the AS/400 to the PC.

I also have instructions for transfering a SAVEFILE from AS/400 to PC. Let
me know if you want them.

.... and oh by the way (just in case you were not aware of it), your users can
do this too. AND they can do "put" commands as well as "get" commands. I am
not a software sales rep, but I am beginning to get religion on this issue.
