Wow. Its not often I visit the functional room !

Anyway - I have a question for you functional gurus. Is there a program in Xe that can read a file similar to the one attached that would assign the child vendor to a parent using the AB# ? Would the functionality exist in Xe or 8.12 ?

Example text file follows :

Address Number, Long Address Number , Alpha Name , P/C , P#

456016 , B00060136 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

492295 , B09001050 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

477079 , B09001051 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

482169 , B09001052 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

492287 , B09001053 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

204185 , W34187 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

474185 , W9001050 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , P , 474185

474687 , W9001051 , ARROW LOCK MANUFACTURING , C , 474185

Hi John

Welcome to functionality-land.
The JDE A/B and A/P interoperability tables do not have any functionality to create parent child relationships. You could populate the F0101Z2 and F0401Z1 tables and run the Upload UBEs to create the entries and later manually add the relationship (this is maintained in F0150).

There is however another A/B Z-table (F0101Z1) that does contain a parent field, but I could not find a UBE that reads the file (may have been old functionality).

Hope this helps,
