We are experiencing problems with some jobs writing PDFs at the completion of the UBE. These are the messages we get in the JDE.LOG at the completion of the job:

UBE0000084 ERROR: Function: PDFDocGen_Save, Code: 1074596813, Message: errno 3021.

UBE0000084 ERROR: Function: PDFDocRead_Open, Code: 1074596817, Message: No such file or directory.

12316 Wed Aug 24 20:00:10 2005 prtpdfgen.c139
UBE0000084 ERROR: Function: PDFDocGen_SetFontFlag, Code: 1073741827, Message: Bad parameter.

I've searched the List, KG, Adobe, and IBM iSeries sites for any helpful informaiton, but haven't come across anything useful. Has anyone experienced these messages before?

The closest thing I found was something about trying to use "Czech special characters". We're strictly as "Texas" Font setup.

I'm having a persistent problem w/particular UBE not generating the PDF
and throwing an error about initializing the PDF.
Sometimes it gives the error and creates a PDF w/an irregular spacing.
This is on E810, Acrobat Reader 7.

In your case - is it creating the pdf?
is it more than one ube?
Which version(s) of Adobe?

Neil:

I am not sure if you resolved your issue but we had a similar error. It was caused by having too many PDFs. We ran a report that cleared the PDFs based on the date. I can not remember the name or number of the report but it is a generic JDE/PeopleSoft report.

Hope this helps.

Assuming that you resolved this issue, do you remember the solution? We are having the same problem sporadically - OneWorld Xe Update 6 SP23_K1.

Thanks!!
Mike
