Package install delay - workflow modeler

At the end of a fat client package install there is a step 'Installing workflow modeler' that is taking about 20 -30 min to complete. This is happening for full packages and also very small update packages. I have disabled virus scanning during the install and tried this on multiple newer PC's. It seems that the step before this 'installing BPMBroker' also takes some time. Has anyone experienced this before and/or know of a way to speed this up or bypass it?

We are running E1 8.9/sp 8.95j1 on Windows 2003 servers, MSSQL 2000 SP4, Windows XP pro/2000 svr/2003 svr clients.

Has anyone been back to you on this, we get the same on 8.11 8.95 O1. The install on our FAT clients takes ages while its bringing down the SYSTEM, like you say even on a update package.

I had the same issue and it is a relatively easy fix. See Solution 20108174. I simply renamed the folder. Definitely speeds up the FB installs.

Also, remember to rename it again after any tools release install.
