P.O. Start Date

Dear Group,

My routing instruction for a manufactured item has got
3 operation steps in three different work centers.
Each operation is taking 3 days time to complete.
ie. 9 days totally to complete the 3 routing steps.
I have got one purchased item attached with the 3rd
operation in the BOM. When I run the MPS/MRP, I expect
the request date of the P.O. should be equal to the
start date of the 3rd operation. i.e. on the 7th day
after the work order start date. But, I am getting P.O.
request date on the start date of the work order. Kindly
suggest what should I do, so that, I get the purchased
items right in the time when I need it.

Try to use the "Leadtime Offset" field in BOM to get the materials either earlier or later than the WO start date.
