OW Screen Formatting.

I must be missing something. I'm trying to format the OW Application screen
to look better. I use the business view selection to add field to the form's
detail screen. However, if I want to insert other Data dictionary fields. I
cannot seem to get the formatting to look as good as JDE. How do you get all
the fields aligned in JDE. Any hints would be great.

Thanks

Ro,

Click and drag a box around the controls you wish to align.
Make sure the control you want to align to is w/in that box.

After the box is drawn, click on the control that you want to align to. This is the "anchor".

Click on LAYOUT, and then align.

If you are trying to get all the database controls to align,
use the ALIGN DATABASE from w/in Layout;Align.

Gene,

Any idea why my 'Align' menu option is greyed out? I have selected controls that I wish to align, but that option has always been disabled. I just figured it wasn't available in FDA.

So, it does work for you?

Jeremy,

After you have selected all the field you want to align, click on the field you want to use for your alignment. Then the align will not be grayed out.

Hi Ro

Another alternative to using the 'Align" tool is to use 'Grid Alignment' in the Layout drop down menu. When you turn 'snap to grid' on and display eg a 4*4 grid, you can manually position your fields. It also helps when you resize your form controls to equal lengths.
