Oracle E-Pack???

I got a message from oracle stating that they are going to begin using their EPD system instead of what JDE was using before. Will this change how we get our ESU's? Does this apply to all versions of the software? From what I could see this only applies to 8.9 and up and only to download new modules but I have been getting conflicting information. Could anyone help clear this up for me?
