Offsite Contingency Plan

Hi List,

I would like to get in touch with someone who has implemented a
Contingency plan using an Offsite Datacenter for OW.

My client is using NT/W2K with Oracle, Xe, Citrix clients. We want to set
up a duplicate database, ES and WTS at an offsite location.

Any contact will be appreciated.

Thanks Gerd

Gerd,
We use Sungard. They are based in Philadelphia. If you have never
been to one of these recovery centers - it is awesome. You basically
contract for the hardware you want to have available in the event of a
disaster and it is there waiting for you. They have multiple centers across
the country. We run a couple of large HP9000/some large NT servers for file
and print/ and our Citrix farm. You can also rent space for your own rack to
have a hot site available if you wish. We do that for some of our more
critical boxes. They will give you 1 or 2 times a year where you get 24
hours to bring up all of your stuff.

We also use Sungard. We did a disaster recovery dry run last year in Orlando.

Gerd,

We also use Sungard. My disaster recovery dry run is coming up real soon. Is there any specific info you were looking for?
