We have plans in the near future to move from a 820 to a i-series 825.
One of the recomendations we were given was to partition the box.
Something like...
Production.
Test.
Backup.
Everything I remember from a long time ago tells me that while this will help our "Backup Downtime" it creates other issues as well.
Like development. Moveing programs from "Test" to Production. Moveing UDC table values. Menus etc etc.
I think there is software out there to do this but my boss would like to know if and how other people are doing this.
