Line gets Cancelled, if item is not available in EO89

We are in process of upgrading it from Xe to EO8.9. While testing Sales Order Cycle, if we enter detail line with item which are not available, the detail line gets cancelled (980-999) status. We tried to enter order with following different situation.

- Different Customers (Backordered Allowed in customer master)
- Different Branch/Plants (Backordered Allowed Check box marked)
- Different Items (Backordered Allowed Check Box marked, Stocking type S/P)
- Different Versions of P4210 application including Standard JDE version XJDE001
- Different Environment (DV/CRP/Pristine)

We used to enter a line with backorder status without getting cancelled before we downloaded an ESU PF2007. Is there an setup to avoid this..?? Am i missing something very obvious..??

I know this was a while ago. Any chance you remember what was done to fix the problem?

I just installed ESU PF2597 into our E1 8.9 and have the same problem.
