LDAP_isLDAPAuthenticationEnabled

JDEList,

We are having some strange experiences with the business function LDAP_isLDAPAuthenticationEnabled (B9200040). We have LDAP enabled and this business function is supposed to return "1" when LDAP is enabled and "0" when it is not. Some time between 11:55 and 15:32 on Thursday 6th December something happened that caused LDAP_isLDAPAuthenticationEnabled to start returning "0" instead of "1", but I have no idea what it was.

According to the log files on the enterprise server this business function is returning "0" and it is also returning "0" when run on a fat client (from within P98OWSEC) according to the debug log. However all the users can still log in - so LDAP is definitely functioning.

Another problem is that revising user security and enabling a disabled user does not work (changing "02" to "01") the value will change but it does not update. The check boxes to the right are disabled - which is what they would be if LDAP was not running. The debug log does not show the dumps for the F98OWSEC update business function, but it also calls the LDAP_isLDAPAuthenticationEnabled which returns "0".

As yet we have not retstarted JDE - this will be happening this evening.

Does anyone have any idea what is, or is not happening? Does anyone have any idea how to fix it.

We have just gon live with E910 running on sun zones with oracle databases on sun zones and weblogic on sun zones.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

JDEList,

For any who are interested, a restart of the JDE services on the Enterprise server fixed the problem. But as nothing was changed to fix it, the problem could recur.
