Item Creation on the fly?

Hi all
I am in a postion to create Items on the fly ie. using Lap Top (Sales persion).
Is there a possibility to create Item in Laptop ( similar to Store and Forward) and I will push those records to ES after coming back to office?

I am not aware of any 'true' store and forward capability for this, however, you can load Items via the F4101Z1 Interoperability table.

Theoretically, you would turn on Interop on the Salespersons laptop. This will write Item additions to Audit table F4101Z1.

You can then upload these transactions to the ES and run the Item Master Inbound program R4101Z1I. Be careful with fields like Short Item Number as this Next Number is hard to control across your reps.

There is no application present in S/F to add new Items.
How to deal with S/F for creating new items by the Sales Person?
Any Idea?

Do you have access to P4101 in S/F mode?

If the answer is no, you would have to develop an app to run on the Salespersons laptop. You could then use the Interop table to get it back on to the Server.
