INSTALLING AN ESU WITH ESU ENHANCMENT INSTALLED

Has anybody had the problem of installing and ESU, and it comes back and
says there are dependencies required.

My problem is that I installed the Pre-Reqs ESU 4116422 when it came out.
I then installed the ESU enhancement about 3 months ago.
I then installed the 2 November Pre-Reqs about 2 months ago.

I'm now trying to install an ESU that requires 4116422 to be installed.

Is there a way to fix it so it knows that I installed 4116422.

Brian,

I had the exact same issue but with the Mandatory HR/Payroll ESU. The
problem is that when you install the JD5550 it's supposed to populate the
F9671 to indicate which mandatory ESU's have been applied. You will have to
manually add the necessary records to the jdeb7.mdb under
\\deploymentserver\b733\planner\data on the deployment server.

I can dig up a copy of my F9671 and sent it to ya.

I think you will find that the ESU you are trying to install has an associated
inf file on your deployment server. In that file there is a section called
dependencies - remove that and your ESU will install.

Hope that helps.

There is a white paper on this on the knowledge garden some where, if you
can't find it then try support, they should know, I think it involves a
registry fix to add the missing key.
