Fixed Assets

Hi all,

We currently have JDE financials and will be implementing the Fixed Assets module next year (once we have upgraded to Xe). Before we implement the Fixed Assets, we aim to audit all our assets and add a barcode.

Does anyone know of some good (and cheap) software that will allow us to download the asset references & description, assign a barcode reference and scan the barcode. Once the audit is complete we will then upload the audited data.

This is the exact question I would have asked. The only difference in our environment is that we are running on a AS400 platform but we wish to do the same thing. We currently have the fixed asset module installed and have been using it for about 3 years. We would now like to hook it up with some sort of barcode reader and printer. Any help would be great!
