Fixed Assets Disposal

The P12105 program only allows asset disposals from the AA ledger. We need to be able to dispose of assets from other ledger types as well. Has anyone found a way to do this?

Nanda,

You have a couple of options. You can go into the
depreciation information screen and change the
depreciation start date (in the fold) to equal the
disposal date. You must also change the method to 00
to stop the depreciation from happening.

Tax rules vary by asset. You may be able to take
additional tax depreciation even after the disposal
date. Discuss this with your tax department or
auditors. They can provide the necessary expertise.

You can also purge the assets (where the disposal date
is less than your year end date). The program allows
you to delete or dispose of other ledgers.

The standard version ZJDE0001 would dispose the AA Ledger only.

You may create a custom version for P12105 and include other ledger types in the processing option.
