I am having a problem with users wanting to export a grid to excel while signing on through Cirtix. It seems that they can't. Has anyone has this same problem? I don't have a problem with users from a fat client.

Hi Stephanie -

We have encountered this problem with users who have Win95. Once they migrate to Win2K, the problem goes away.

Hope this helps,

You can export to excel using Citrix - you must have Excel installed on the
PC that is the Citrix server.

Hi,
you need to install Excel on the citrix server,

be aware that while using excel on citrix you have access on the hard disk !?
Guess what happen when you click on the save button of excel, you see the citrix server disk and can select any file or folder. You can then press the erase button !!!

We used a little trick to prevent this, the menus ( File / Edit ...) was hidden, the standard bartool was also hidden and replaced with a new toolbar which only had the copy button.
User could then export from jde to "citrix excel", select all, copy and paste in "local computer excel".

This works until user don't know the microsoft short cuts like Ctrl + S.

Fred
