Event Rule

I need to place a cent sign into a event rule so that it will write to a table.

I don't have this on my keyboard but am sure you can do it with a combindation of key strokes.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,
The keystroke combination depends on many thing e.g. your keyboard type, operating system, regional settings, etc. etc.

My two cent :)) is that look for any documentation where you find a cent sign and Copy/Paste it.

Maybe somebody will answer you a post including a cent sign.

Good luck,

I tried to cut and paste but when you are in the event rule design I don't have the ability to paste. I just have the ability to put something into a block.

I am a bit confused now about where do you want to insert a cent sign.
Can you describe me a little bit detailed your problem?

I am in OMW doing form design.

I right click on the form and take the option for event rules.

This leads to a screen that is called Event Rule Design which allows you to create event rules. I would like to create a rule that would write a cent sign to a field in a table.

I take the = to make a BC field = to the cent sign.
I select the BC field and then try to enter a cent sign in the box called Form Object/Literal. At this point I do not have the ability to do a paste.

So far no luck in getting the cent sign. I can put a $ sign or any other character on my key board but my key board does not have the cent sign.

In MS Word you can hold down the Ctrl the press the / and c and you will get the cent sign. Or you can insert it from the special characters lookup. But none of this helps in JDE.

Thanks for your help

When you are in the Assignment box in Event Rule design use Ctrl-V to paste
the ¢ sign from the buffer or right mouse click and choose paste.

I managed to do this in my event rule design.

If you go to your character map - start\programs\accessories\character map,
it will show the special characters available for various fonts. When you
highlight the character you're interested in it will show you the keystrokes
required in the lower right hand corner
The keystrokes for the c sign are:
1. hold the shift and press num lock
2. using the number keypad, hold alt and key in 0162 release and you'll
receive the c sign.
3. hold the shift and press num lock to return to the standard character
set.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the clarification.
I am wondering that paste does not work in the "From Object/Literal
field" on an assignment statement window.
I used this feature very often. Maybe it could depend on your OneWorld
release and/or SP level.
If CTRl-V does not work then try right mouse click on the field and
choose Paste from the popped up window.
This is the situation when somebody want to Copy/Paste on the Processing
Option design panel, CTRL-C/CTRL-V does not work but Copy/Paste is
accessible by the mentioned method.
Please, let us/me know if your problem resolved.
Good luck,
Zoltán
