Disk Read/Compare

Hello:

Is there any way to read the disk, and have it compare to what's held in a table? This is my situation:

I want to compare the Folder name for packages to what's held in the F98215/F9822/F98225. If an entry exists in the tables, but not on the disk, I want to delete the entry in the table.
