Demo Jnr DB password

Hi,

We are currently moddeling on Demo Jnr. We have been copying the DB between PC's so we can share test data. After copying the DB onto one PC it asked for a database password when trying to start up OneWorld. We have done this operation before with no problems...

Any ideas?

There is no password for the DemoJr Access database. You are getting this screen becaus OW cannot find your database.
Probably your ODBC is not pointing correctly to the database. Or your jdeb7.mdb file did not get copied correctly in place.
Take a look at c:\jde.log . You might find other hints.

Main ideas:
1 - Are you able to open the copied database?
And some variations:
2 - Or, there was not enough space available & the database was copied ... partially :(
3 - Or, maybe the PC has a different/newer version of Access (like 2000 or XP).
4 - Or, the DB hasn't been uncompressed (unzipped) :) it happens!

Your ODBC driver in that PC is not the latest one. You can try running it
after installing MDAC 2.1 SP1.

Adrian is probably on the right track... Access can be a screwy monster.

Verify that /whether you have applied any type of .mdw files for use against
other M$ Acce$$ databases... security applies machine wide to all MDBs when
it is applied this way... Yes, it is an ouch.

If large files are moved on the computer, standalone may require a new
password. Exactly what a large file is I am not sure.
