Delegatino of Authority

[blush]Is any one out their using delegation of authority where you can have a date and time in the delegation field. We would like JDE to have the following option.
1. Once you enter the delegator on the system, the system must have a date and time to automatically switch this option on and off when the user returns. Currently we have to do this manually. This is a big issue for auditors.

Is there anyone out there who could let me know if they did a modification for this.

What is your system config.

This is all available in EnterpriseOne 8.9 and is actually real easy to accomplish.

When you say easy does this mean your system works as follows:

1. You receive a delegation letter for a Supervisor to Act in an
Engineer position.
2. You delegate the authority. But in my e-mail I have to note the
date that the Engineer will be back to resume his duties.
3. Manually I have to remove this supervisor out of the engineers
position and then replace the Engineer back in his position to act.
4. This Engineer might have then say 6 different Cost Centre with
different approval routes to approve on.
5. I have to manually change then all 6 route for approval.

Our approval routes are set up by Branch Plants. Business Units.

We had a system that you only enter the Delegates address number and the
duration and time this delegate will act e.g.

12600 will act in the Engineers place
From date 10/11/2003 To date 20/11/2003 From Time 24:00am To Time
24:00am
This will then allow this person to act on all the Engineers Cost Centre
if he has more than one.
