ddtext file sizes after Update6

I have possibly encountered a (big?) issue with Update6 and was wondering
if anyone else who applied it has experienced this. After the update6 was
applied, we noticed that you could not do a right-click on a field and do
'what's this' as it would come up with no help available. We tried this in
prod, and it still worked. What I narrowed it down to was that the
ddtext.ddb and ddtext.xdb files are much smaller than they were prior to the
upgrade.
IE: ddtext.ddb before 28,198kb
after 13,995kb

ddtext.xdb before 13,957kb
after 10,479kb

Now I can understand the file sizes growing (which all the others did), but
not actually get smaller. I have tried to regenerate (R92tam) the files with
both a sp19.1 anda sp16 client and get the same smaller file sizes. My
concern is that the Update6 contained a few DD changes and maybe it
corrupted/deleted the DDtext from the DD tables. If this is the case, since
there is only one DD per instance of OneWorld, our entire system is hit...
Anyone else experience the above after applying Update6? I have a call open
with JDE, but silence so far....
