Data Selection on version is not carried into Batch via RUNUBE

We have a new version of R42565 for processing EDI 855's. The data selects on the version we see from BV are not being used my the UBE when submitted to Batch using RUNUBE within a CL. This CL has multiple examples of UBE's running correctly so it's not an issue with RUNUBE or the CL itself. We've cleared Cache, we've deleted SQLPKG's, what are we missing?

You probably did this, but it doesn't hurt to ask: Did you build a server package containing the UBE and version, and deploy it to the Enterprise server? Or have you tried just submitting the specs?

Are you seeing the same Data Selection on the WEB version as in the FAT
Client?

You could attempt submitting the specs to the server, then re-running the
report. NOTE: if you have more than one batch server, you'd have to submit
to all - AND the next package deployment (regardless of whether your object
is in it) could wipe out the specs you submit to the server.

Both, first the update package then the submitting of the specs after we di scovered the issue with data selection.

We do see the same data selection regardless, Web or Fat Client. Not sure what you mean by more than one batch server... We either run via BV from wi thin JDE Web or Fat and we submit to JOBQ's on the iSeries via CL's to stre amline the nightly process.

As a next step, I'd submit the job to the AS/400 from a fat client, and use the Advanced options to enable the debug log. If the job runs for a long time, or is resource intensive (aren't all UBEs?), then you might want to do this when you won't seriously impact a bunch of users.

After you get the log, you might be able to see where it's going wrong, or post it here and maybe someone else will see the problem.
