data selection literal

Hello Everyone,
Is it just me having this issue? We have been on OneWorld Xe for several years now. I find it hard to believe that our users, when entering Literal Data Selection, still have to enter a list of values one value at a time and then click the "Add" button after each item. Isn't there a way to copy and paste a list of values from excel. We are having issues with costing and having to enter lists for simulation, freezing, copying to branch plants, then simulating and freezing. That is entering the list 5 separate times, and there could be large quantities of new items we have to do this for.....This is not the only time we are having an issue.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Sorry Angie but ... thats the way it is.

We're partially a Engineer-To-Order company so we're constantly creating new items. We evolved a method/process of dealing with item definition from creation through cost freeze that uses the Item Flash message as a status code or indicator of where an item is in the Item Definition process. So that when an Item has a code of 'CR' (Cost Rollup) its automatically included in the Cost Rollup processing which selects based on the Item Flash code = 'CR' instead of individual item numbers. So there are ways of dealing with this - you just need to go "outside the box".
