Data Dictionary change

Hi List

I've created a custom data dictionary item and am using in it in a number of custom applications and/or reports.

What effects if any would changing the Display Decimals element in the DD have on my applications and/or reports.

In general terms, you will need to find every table where that DD item is used and update the data otherwise you will lose or gain significant digits.

For example if the display decimals was zero and you changed it to 2 a value of 123 becomes 1.23.

We had to do this for a pristine DD item and it was not fun... basically had to write an app to find every table where it was used and update the data. In the example above you would need to update 123 to 12300.

Just noticed you are on AS400... this might not be the case for AS400, but I can say for certain it is the case for MS SQL Server.
