Customer contact management

Does anyone know of a tool within JDE to manage customer contact details?
This would typically log all contact with the customer, the type of contact
(tel/meeting etc) who was present, what was discussed and the outcome.
We'd prefer to keep this info within JDE as it's the central app.
Any help would be appreciated.

For basic information, use the Who's Who exit from the address book. You can set up some information there.
I have also looked at implementing part of the CSMS module (G17) for contact management - to record meeting informtaion etc as you mentioned, also considered this to be somewhere to keep tenders etc, which could then be attached to sales orders, or explanations placed in them if the tender was not successful.

Hi John,

CSMS is probably the best place but if you don't want to install and configure a new module consider placing this sort of information inside an attachment. These can be created at either the customer level or contact (who's who). You can create plain text type attachments or linked documents such as Word, though only 1 of each.

Are you talking about an apllication : JDE has an application called CRM
(customer relation Management ) , or do you just want some kind of
reporting ,screens ???
