Custom Commission Programs

Does anyone have experience with customizing commissions to calculate based on invoices paid in full? We currently pay on Gross Profit, with payment on the 15th of the month following the invoice date. We want to explore paying only on Gross Profit for invoices that have been paid in full.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
