CTRL X

I've written a headerless detail app, disabling a number of columns in the grid that I don't want changed. I get the lock indicator, as expected and I can't enter data into those fields. If I manually focus on a field or a row and hit CTRL X, then the data gets cut from the grid. If I subsequently click OK, then those records update with changed values.

I know I can drop hidden fields in the grid to back myself up, but I'd like to just lock the columns and have them really be locked. I don't see a way to disable this or any other windows short cuts in the tool.

Any ideas????
