Changing Currency Code for a Company operation

We are looking at changing the base currency for our company in Xe. There are many ways to approach the issue, but was wondering if there are any "tried and true" methods.

Hi AR,

Changing a company currency is a very delicate task. 8.11 provides a manual for this "PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne Base Currency Conversion 8.11 SP1 PeopleBook".

To give an idea of the scope involved, I am listing below the tables that need to be converted.

Thank you for the insight on 8.11, good stuff. You are quite right, a delicate task indeed. To expedite the solution, I believe we will set-up another sister company, mirror the BU's and copy the the associated chart of accounts. AAI's will either be reset or supplemented based on the fact we will most likely run down our AR ledger by continuing to process legacy activity on the "old currency" company. AP can be cut-over when appropriate.

Fixed Assets remains a challenge, transfers must be made on similar currency companies, which is exactly what we do not have, thus we are looking at the F1201Z1 to complete an export/import process into the new company.
