Changing a Manufacturing Branch\'s Company
We wish to change the Company that owns the Manufacturing Business Unit for Tax Efficiency reasons. I have spent some time considering how much work this will involve. The biggest difficulty will be that the Mfg Company has a GBP Sterling Base Currency which will change to EUR Euro in the new Company. Therefore we will have to convert across all Raw Material, Finished Goods, WIP, Costs, Rates, Cost Components, Variances, Subcon PO's, Material PO's, WO's and Transfer Orders. Quite a big job.
Has anybody done this before? Any advice? Any tricks or traps to look out for? I was wondering whether the JDE Euro Conversions, that many Countries used a year ago, would be of any use?
