Automated Testing Tools

Hello There,

I'm currently working on a project where the amount of testing is growing to an extent, a manual approach is increasingly crazy.

So I've been browsing the net to find alternatives to Autopilot.

I've found solutions like:
* Macroscheduler
* CitraTest
* Winrunner/LoadRunner/Test Director

But they all have a scripting root that interacts with JDE through a bitmap mapping logic. Basically you'll push a lot of your effort in building these scripts, which will be hard to maintain.
This direction doesn't seem like a real plus.

Our problem with autopilot is we're on B7332 SP 11.3 and will move to Xe shortly (?) and thereby losing our testscripts.

--> The Questions:
1.) Do you know of alternatives for (integrated) testing tools ?
2.) Are there any other GUI driven scripting tools other than AutoPilot ?

Many thanks to all for any feedback,

Kind Regards,

Svend.

Our company is using an event driven derivative of the Macroscheduler and
can create a stable script in about half the time of creating a manual one.
There are many tricks, i.e. not approaching it from a bitmap perspective,
but the scripts run stable and fast, with the read and write capabilities
and SMTP adding that much more value.
The beauty of it is that it works through Citrix, and even for HTML clients.
