The Deployment Server portion of this tools release appears to not be extracting the System.cab files. Has anyone run into this issue before? I believe that I can simply extract them both and copy the files into system but I don't know if anything else might be getting missed.

We have had that problem on our deployment server for a while with multiple SP's/Tools Releases. Our workaround was to install while in safe mode. This way the dll's were not locked and the install would complete sucessfully.

try to stop "Windows Management Instrumentation" windows service on deployment server before to install Tool Release, after installation you can restart it

Just thought I would close the loop here. We had to end the Remote Registry Service in order to get the .DLL's released. We found the process using Process Explorer from Sysinternals:

Good program if you need to find what is locking a .DLL.

Mark from Sysinternals is a great man. Unfortunately, I've had to use his RootKit Revealer software
