It is the IBM Blue Stack licensing provided by Oracle which is expiring this September. Doesn't mean you will become "un-certified", what is means is Oracle is going to direct you to IBM for any support needs related to IBM products.
Our Oracle rep said that that support for the iSeries and DB2 was expiring in September. I asked if it was for World and E1 and he said it was, but admitted he was new. Hopefully all he was referring to was the blue stack support expiration. He is getting more experienced people on a conference call with us tomorrow. Thank you.
Yes, it is just blue stack support that is expiring. Oracle have already stated that DB400, DB2 and Websphere will continue to be certified platforms for JDE. Though would be an exciting time for all of the World customers if they were removing certification for the AS400.
Hi - please refer to Oracle doc no. 1232453.1 - this is the updated statement for " E1 Tech Foundation" support after Sept. 30th.
Basically what they are saying is as that if you are under the E1 Tech Foundation license and you are currently updated with your maintenance fees, you can choose to stay and will be under Sustaining Support after Sept. 30th.
