E9.2 Link between return order CO and return purchase order

We use the RMA process to create credit orders (CO) and return purchase orders (O8) for material customers are returning. Sometimes, the customers do not return the goods and the CO gets cancelled. This leaves our O8 hanging open. Should cancelling the CO result in the O8 cancelling? Are they connected? How do we cancel both?
