Hi,
JD. Edwards manuals are provided in PDF format. Has somebody got an idea on how you can easely include your customizations in that manual?

Regards,
Anne

Anne,
take a look at the full version of Acrobat - it allows edit on PDF documents..

Best regards

Peter

I know but the manuals of Acrobat are recommending to use the Acrobat editer only for small changes to the PDF file. And I can agree with them because it is not so easy. Ideally you laod the PDF file in WORD and then change in WORD and create the PDF file again. But if you load it into WORD then all formating is lost.

Anne,
the other option is to invest in either the JDE content manager - which allows the creation of custom documentation or a 3rd party one.
Knowing what JDE are like, they maybe behind the curve on the technology - but it will at least integrate.

I have only played with the content manager and not used it in anger (has anyone???), so cannot give you any decent appraisal of it.

Sorry I couldnt help more.

Peter

Peter,

thank you for your feedback.
I asked some information to JDE concerning their content manager. Like you
already mentioned, I don't expect a lot of it. I also don't know what the
cost is. Probably it will be to high for what it's worth.

Regards
Anne
