Oracle POC - libjdespec.so and libjdespec.map

Recently we have received a POC from Oracle, this POC is for our current tools release 8.98.4.6. The instructions indicate the following files should be replaced in the System/lib directory (libjdespec.so and libjdespec.map). Does anyone know exactly what these files do?
