Tools Release

Hi All,

We are in E812 and Tools Release 8.97.0.1 and We want to upgrade to 8.97.2.6. If we take the new tootls release what will happened to the mdofications to the JDE Objects?. As we modified few jde programs.

A Tools Release does not touch JDE objects. You are thinking of an upgrade, as in moving from 8.12 to 9.0.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't test things, as Tools Releases can sometimes have unintended consequences. The troubles with posting around 2002 come to mind.

In general, object code is not modified by a TR. However, object behavior may be affected by the application of a tools release. In other words, changes to the foundation code may change how your mods act.

Check the SAR list for the TR you wish to apply by going to Update Center , finding the TR you want and click the "Name" link. This will take you to additional information. The entire document is chock full of good info.

The SAR list is cumulative back to the major release (8.96, 8.97, 8.98).
