Planning Bills in MRP

Hi All

I am trying to enter a forecast for one item, and the use BOM's and planning
bill functionality to copy the forecast info over to the components on the
BOM.

Lets say the parent is called ITEMA. ITEMA is setup as a Phantom in Branch
Plant A with Planning Code = 4 and Planning Fence Rule = F. There is a
forecast setup against ITEMA.

Lets say the Component is called ITEMB. ITEMB is setup as a Purchased item
in Branch Plant B with Planning code = 5 and Planning Fence Rule = F.

There is a BOM setup for ITEMA in Banch A, with ITEMB as a component.

When I run R3482 with Data selection on Branch A and Branch B, and
Processing option 2 on Parameters tab = 2 (Planning bill). All shop floor
calendars are setup and generation is successful after the program runs.
However, the forecast for the component is not created.

All processing options on Forecasting tab of R3482 have been completed
correctly too.

Any ideas?

A couple things I can suggest. Check to make sure your Supply/Demand inclusion rules are set up correctly. I didn't use a phantom bom, I created a separate stocking type for planning items. Also, I always used lead times as well, though I can't say whether these are required or not.
