Merging Companies

Hi list,

In our Group, we are going to make a merge between 4 companies that are on OneWorld, on the same Database on the same Enterprise service (Mono-site). One Company will buy the others and we will have 1 at the end instead of 4.
Has anyone had viewed such process, how to do ? Any documents, the steps to follow. We are using Purchasing, Sales, Inventories, Manufacturing, Financial suite.
We are on ERP 8.0/SP 20 on SQL 2000/NT4/Intel.

Good luck. I just worked on a year long project to merge a OneWorld B7322 and World A7.3 to OneWorld XE and Coexistence.

We broke our project into data analysis, data conversion, and data migration phases. We rationalized all of our UDC tables, next number, and table primary keys. During the same weekend we applied the coexistent PTF on the World system and ran 500 pages of SQL to change UDC values and primary key values in over 100 tables in the OneWorld B7322 system. Months later, we installed OneWorld XE over the "PTF'ed" system and subsequently pumped and merged the data from the B7322 enterprise server (SQL 7.0) to the iSeries. Overall, we were very successful.
