Hi List,
this may not interest too many out there, probably Brazilians only. But
similar cases are likely to be found in all JDE code.
We found that P4310BR (Brazilian addition to P4310) came with errors in
Update 7. It worked on fat clients, but did not run with HTML clients. It
made the JAVA Server (Windows) go into an infinite loop. To reproduce simply
create an order on an HTML client (with your user profile having country
code set to 'BR'). The last step will not complete.
We opened the event rules code and found that it looked really messy.
While-loops seemed to find their corresponding "end-while" statements. We,
not being programmers, took out all comments and all disabled code, kind of
a cleanup, taking much care to not change any logic. The code worked after
that.
Interesting, isn't it?
I am trying to get a SAR openend on that, but R/L is still analyzing our
logs ...
