Xe Update 7

Hi,

anybody out there who has installed XU7?

I have. The step was from XU1 to XU7 into a custom environment. Unfortunately the changed Business Views and Datastructures for Processing Options are missing. They are even not shown in P96470 on DS, where you can compare the Affected Objects between the Update and Environment.

Has anybody else had such a issue? Perhaps with another Update? I really do not have any idea.

Thanks for any reply.

Did you apply a planner ESU before the Update? There is a big change to ESU application due to the new Base ESU. An Update is just a bunch of ESU's together.

Hi,

these objects are not changed since the first install of Xe. So the OL date is the same for all environments and the merge flag is not set.

Also, if I look into the spec files for Xu7 via UTB I can find the changed BSVW and PO template DSTR. To me it seems something is missing in the table, who say's what is to be installed.

In the meantime JDE is trying to replicate. If that does not work, is there a possibility to "copy" these objects from planner/packages/XU7/spec to the resired path code?

This is fixed!!!

The install did not copy all records from XU7 into F9672 in jdeb7.mdb. Got the full table from hotline. Do not know why that happens. Hotline say's perhaps poor temp space, poor free memory, etc.
Anyway, I know what to check the next time.

Michel :

It happens because JDE relies on MDB files (MS Access) to store ESU data, MS
Access files are known for their poor stability
and reliability.

Hello, Michael,
I had the similar problem with Update 4. I had to copy several records
manually at the end :-(.
"Hotline say's perhaps poor temp space, poor free memory, etc." - Oh! It's a
familiar pretext. "Problems on a client side" ;-)
