We just resently applied SP20 to our enterprise AS/400 and W2K deployment server. After applying SP20 we experienced problems with P4210 (Customer Service Inquiry) losing grid formats. We found that applying SP20_J1 was the fix for this. The problem we are having now after applying SP20_J1 is that when we complete a full package build and deploy it out to our Citrix farm it has the old SP20 foundation code. The work around to this is copy the system folder off the deployment server to our Citrix servers. This work around will allow us to create and save grid formats. My question is where in the package build does JD Edwards pull the foundation code from? Any help will be greatly appriciated

Hi,

After you apply J1, create an update package. On the the foundation screen click on Default Icon, and on the compression screen, select compress foundation. This will update the systemcomp directory on the deployment server with the changes to the system directory.

When you deploy this package, you will get the new system directory. Also all new full package will have the new foundation.

John,

After you applied SP20_J1, did you recompress your foundation files? We found out during the process of applying SP20_E1 that you MUST recompress foundation files, as the .cab files are used for foundation components.

Good luck!
