Find no errors, but "Build Finished with Errors"

Find no errors, but \"Build Finished with Errors\"

I've done a full package build for both workstations and the Enterprise Server. The Enterprise Server build succeeds. But the Workstation build gives this message:

Build Finished with errors 'PD7333F001', 1/20/2003 17:57.

However, I looked through all the logs, and the build didn't produce any errors. Every entry in BuildLog.txt is like this:

CAEC.dll - 0 error(s), 0 warning(s): Built successfully.

When I look at the Package Build History, every single entry comes back as "SUCCESS".

There were a lot of entries in NoSource.txt for objects which on longer exist or which don't have a C source file: R55xxx UBEs which we did as tests and then deleted from the system, we thought, and also many for standard tables which don't have triggers.

Where should I look to find the error? Is the error caused by the entries in the NoSource.txt?

I think your GBRSPEC beginning and end numbers should match, are you sure that nothing was being checked in while your build was in process.

Check out document OTM-02-0026 on the KG. I think you will find that you can ignore the error and deploy the package.

If you are on SP 19 then the document is correct but if you are on SP 20 then there is an issues because sp 20 is supposed to resolve the issue.

As or your GBRSPEC the RDB record count in GBRSPEC : 2671673 and the Number of PAK Adds succeeded: 2627528 failed: should be the same.

Tim,

look in the "obj" directory under the package name for files that do not end in .obj. If you find any I believe they will be compilation error logs that tell you what the problem is.

SP20 did not fix the issue. JDE is aware of it and has said that the fix should be in SP21.

Tim,

You can ignore the error and install the package. Just remember to always check the logs to verify that the error you are getting is the one you expect to get.

On the R9622 check the Pack Records Read vs. Pack Records Written and the
Pack File Build Status.

Although this information is on the R9622, and only used for server
build/deployments, the pack records are actually produced by the R9621.

Therefore, the error will show up in the detail of the R9622, but the
'overall' status of the R9621 will be affected.
