Xe and 8.9

Does anyone know if it's possible to install Xe and 8.9 on the same AS400?
We want to go to 8.9 but want to do a little proof testing first.

We are Xe, Update6, AS400, V5R2, Citrix

Hi Tim,
yes it is possible, we are running both version (XE SP20 and E1 8.9) on the same AS400 V5R2.
Sinece both Installations have their own libs there is no problem.

Xe Update 1, AS400, V5R2, Citrix, XPI, XPIex in Production,
E1 8.9 in migration Process

Hi JDEAT: when you say you are running both versions on one AS/400, do you mean you turn on the OW subsystem for both concurrently? Thanks, Jen.

Jen,
look in the KG for documents about Multiple Foundation. Besides having seperate libraries (directories for non AS400) for the system code the secret is having each version listen on a different IP port. E8.9´s default port is 6011, ERP8 is 6010, Xe is 6009, and so on.
