UBE\'s \"E\" out after SP17.1.

Hey List,

The client upgraded from SP14.1 to SP17.1 and now UBEs submitted to the Unix server fails with the following.

SEC0000003 - Security Server returned eSecInvalidPassword for user DHELSLE-Q for eSecValidate

JDB1100015 - Failed to complete Security check

The same job submitted to one of the clients NT servers with the same service pack runs fine. Client workstations (both phat and TSE) show no problems.

Another odd twist is that when you request a jdedebug.log via the advanced form on batch versions none is created. Turning logs on, on the server did not help much. There are no unusual errors in the kernel logs as they start and the only odd entry in the jdedebug.log for the UBE is.

was the server's JDE.INI changed? Particularly in the [SECURITY] section?

I was going to chime in on that. Now my only experience has been with OW
on NT, but if unix is similar, is there a jde.ini (or equivalent) that
has to be copied back to the newly replaced system directory?

Thanks for the input.

Problem resolved. I was able to track it back to a step missed in the SP install. What was really on the Unix server was an older SP because the new System.Z file was not copied to the ...\hosts\hp9000 directory on the deployment server.

I knew writing the list would help. I found the problem just after I posted. ;-)

I have also noticed that sometimes the Unix documentation leaves a little
to be desired. I have experienced missing "/"s that keep the .Z file from
being extraced to the correct location, thus not allowing SPs to install.

I think you forgot to edit RunOneWorld.sh file.
