List,
We have had numerous issues with using Sales Order Repost (R42995). Often we find that items have not been reposted properly. We created more versions with narrowed down data selection because of data pointer issues, which seems to have helped a bit. But we are still finding very often during the day items become out of synch, for example we may have a negative quantity in either on hand or committed fields.
We don't want to run repost during the day because of the time it takes and the amount of products we have. Not to mention that repost would be looking at a moving target during the day.
What we plan to do now is this:
1. Run an integrity report hourly that looks for negative quantities in the on hand or committed fields.
2. Copy the item file F41021 nightly before and after repost and compare the values.
3. Because we are coexistent, we are considering running repost in World. Supposedly it is more stable and runs more quickly.
Does anyone experience the same problems? If so, how are you handling it? Does anyone think that there are any issues with running this in World? Even though the applications are different, the tables are the same..
Thanks1
