Row Exit Security - What is displayed in the application vs. What is displayed in Security!!!

I am applying row/form exit security to our applications, and I was wondering if there was a way to cross reference what is displayed on the exits in the applications vs. what is displayed in the security application. Sometimes, the correlation is easy, but at other times the text on the exits in the applications is completely different than what is displayed in the security application. One work around I have found is to open the application in OMW and then view the exits, if you click on event rules, it displays both what is shown to the users in the applications and what shows up in the security application. I guess there is a short name and a long name, the short name is displayed to the users in the applications, whereas the long name is displayed in the security application.
I was wondering if there was an easier way to crossreference the two...
