Removing F0010 from P98613

Dear Colleagues,

Due to recuring issue with period reopening when the cashe has to be cleared, we are considering the option to remove F0010 from P98613 as was suggested in FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Company Names and Numbers (P0010) [ID 664721.1].

My Question is if anybody tried this option and can share his experience with possible impact on performance? It is mentioned in the document, but not specified in more details.

We are on Oracle 10, JDE E1812, TR 8.97.0.2.

I did it. Testing and real world- we saw no impact on performance.

Your mileage may vary, test it throughly before you try it.

Ditto with others experience. No impact.

We removed it over a year ago, on XE then and E9 now. No noticable negative impact on performance or process.

The request is still pending response of our IT management - they are reluctant to any action when they not sure of the outcome
